Passing Criteria for the SPPU Exam
Candidates who appeared in the winter 2024-25 semester exams held by the SPPU need to score 40% in the combined in-semester exam and semester-end assessments and 30% score in both assessments separately to successfully pass the exam. Students failing in either one or two subjects of undergraduate or postgraduate courses will have to appear in that subject in the supply exam and students failing in more than two subjects will have to reappear in the regular semester exam.
Marking System and Evaluation Criteria SPPU Semester Exam of B.E in Civil Engineering
Savitribai Phule Pune University follows a semester-wise examination system, where in-semester exams are held for 30 marks and end-semester exams are held for 70 marks. Practical and oral exams are conducted for lab-based subjects and final-year students have to submit projects and attend seminars for evaluations. Theory subjects’ exams are held for a total of 100 marks whereas marks for practical subjects are based on continuous assessment and have a viva exam of 50 marks. Semester projects are of 50 marks and final-year project is of 100 marks. Students to successfully clear this exam require a minimum of 40% marks in each subject.
